What Clients are Saying...

Paul, 71

" I was diagnosed with prostrate cancer last year. I signed up for personal training to improve my core muscles, which in turn will improve my chances if/when I have surgery. Coach Wendy has been awesome, tailoring stretching and exercise routines for me, as well as nutrition recommendations. I’m making progress. Lost some weight. Balance is better. And, my chronic lower back tightness is much improved. Training with Coach Wendy is now a permanent part of my routine. "

Margarett, 35 & Michael, 49

"We’ve both been endurance athletes most of our lives—from growing up as distance swimmers to competing in Ironmans as adults. We started working with Wendy to prepare for a 54 mile gravel bike race in Steamboat Springs, CO, which we knew would be a challenge to train for in Chicago. Wendy approached our training with a holistic view to compliment and counter the long hours we were spending sitting both on our bikes and at our desks. We were pretty confident walking into our first session with Wendy, and wow were we in for an eye-opening experience! It was clear we had not prioritized mobility, stability or strength for some time. It was quite humbling, but also extremely empowering to see the progress we made. For the first time, we both made it through a heavy training period without overuse injuries (or injuries in general!). Not only that, but we’ve continued our personal training sessions even without a race on the calendar and have seen a dramatic improvement in our overall physical and mental health. Simply put, working with Wendy has been one of the best investments we’ve made (and we’ve bought a lot of bikes!)."

Dianne, almost 78

“ I have worked with Coach Wendy for the past 21/2 years, since retiring from a pretty sedentary job.  She has helped me tremendously improve my strength, as well as my stability and flexibility.  She has a wonderful, cheerful personality and is very encouraging of her clients.  She also “walks the walk”, in terms of her own workouts.  I highly recommend her to all levels of fitness, especially the elderly. "

Nermin, 30

"I have been working with Coach Wendy over the past year. She has been really great.  Over my journey I have lost close to 100 pounds! During this time Wendy has made my workouts fun and enjoyable. She has pushed me to limits I didn’t even know I could get to. After a year with Coach Wendy, I feel like a new person. I am at a level where I never believed I could get to."

Christina, 54

“I had foot surgery a few months ago and was worried that I was losing muscle strength while recuperating and not able to perform weight-bearing exercises. Wendy was able to take me through progressions starting with balanced focused moves and then progressing to strength and endurance work. I appreciate how she was able to make the appropriate changes for my individual needs.”

Edith, 53

"Through Wendy’s encouragement and highly customized workouts I am in as good a shape as I was 25 years ago! She knows how to put together an effective but also realistic plan to help you achieve your goals. I had surgery recently and for a number of weeks had limited mobility. Wendy was creative and diligent putting together a modified plan that was just right for me. I am grateful to her for the flexibility and strength I have gained and the 20+ lbs I have lost and kept off! As I travel a fair bit for work, I am also grateful to her in making me more  knowledgeable and confident in strength training to do on my own when traveling."

Ralph, 81

“I recommend Wendy to all who need coaching on strength and balance. I'm 81 and Wendy was great at helping me with exercises to give me confidence in keeping my balance on a good level as I age as well as good nutrition discussions. Everyone at any age can surely benefit from Wendy's teachings and those especially past 60 are greatly helped for their future well-being by being coached by Wendy.”

Lauren, 58

"Wendy is an awesome trainer! I have been working with Wendy since she first started training, even following her to a new gym. Wendy is very motivating and is my biggest cheerleader which makes me more confident while working out. Wendy also makes sure that I do not hurt myself and my form is always perfect. She challenges me and knows what I am capable of achieving! I am not someone who enjoys working out but she has made me accountable and I feel great when my workout is done!!"

Tony, 76

"Coach Wendy took a challenge to motivate this 76 year old to do something about his condition. What she showed me I loved so much that I now continue to do on my own and I love it. Thank you Coach Wendy! She is a wonderful person and a great coach."

Chris, 62

“Coach Wendy’s military background brings a fresh perspective and she meets me where I am at. I have increased strength, energy, mobility, and balance. Coach Wendy helps me power on!”
