APRIL FOOL’S! 


Ok, here’s what we’re not fooling around about. Movement.


“I want to live a life where I can’t move without pain,” said NO ONE! 


Flexibility, stamina, and strength is not about being an athlete. It’s about the ability to bend over, pick up a grandchild, tie your shoe, pick up the keys you dropped on the floor, freely and without pain or discomfort. How about turning your head instead moving your entire body when you drive so you can see what’s coming? 


Movement is life. Move your body and train for real-life activity. What you do today benefits you in five, 10, or 20 years so don’t delay. Do it for life now.


Am I glad you are seeing me for a training session once or twice a week? Sure, but the more important question is what are you doing the other 5 or 6 days? You don’t need to come to the gym or have a house full of weights to get moving. But here’s the kicker. It's how you think, the actions you take that matter most. 


I’m not fooling anyone here. If you choose to move more, you will. If you choose to eat healthy foods, you’ll do it. So, when you run errands, choose to take the parking spot farthest away. Have stairs at the office or in your home? Make the choice and use them. Have a favorite artist whose music you enjoy? Choose to listen and dance! Have a dog? Choose to take your pup for a walk. And while you’re at it, choose to bring others along with you. Choose to move! Every day.


Make no mistake. You’re busy. Your days are full. You’re tired. And there will always be other things to take up your time. But ask yourself this. “How well will I do those other things if my body and mind are not in working order?” Train your brain to choose movement over inactivity. When you identify ways to keep moving that you enjoy, you’re almost certain to keep doing it. Let movement be a habit, not inactivity.


Every walk, squat, hinge, stretch you take is what builds your body for a healthy future. You’ll feel better for it. The choice is yours. No foolin’.
